Tejas express

The Tejas Express is India’s first semi-high speed train, which is fully air conditioning train. It features modern onboard facilities with automatic doors. Tejas means "sharp" in many Indian languages. This train is the fastest train in the INDIA. Tejas Express is a higher priority in Indian railways.we can say tejas express is fastest train  in INDIA RAILWAY. The coach of 1st Tejas express which runs between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and was manufactured at rail coach factory, Kapurthala in Kapurthala district of Punjab.

T     Tejas express was inaugural run on 24th May 2017 from Mumbai Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus to Karmali, goa. Tejas Express was run 552km. It was covered 552km in 8 hours and 30 minutes. The coach of 1st Tejas expresses is manufactured at rail coach factory, Kapurthala in Kapurthala district of Punjab.

2     On 2 March 2019, second Tejas express of the country was flagged off between Chennai Egmore and Madurai junction by prime minister Narendra Modi.it covered 497km in 6 hours and 30 minutes. The second train coaches are manufactured integral coach factory, Chennai.

      The train is designed to run at the maximum speed of 200km/h, but the maximum operating speed allowed is 130km/h due to track and safety constraints presently but train runs at average speed of 65km/h.
